ROCKVIEW -- Wayne Howell White, 60, of Rockview, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 13, 1935, at Bell City, son of William Henry and Virgin Minnie Slinkard White. He and Dortha Baker were married Sept. 5, 1959.

White was employed at Tim's Food Mart in Oran. He was a member of Oran Chamber of Commerce, Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615, Chaffee VFW Post, and Shrine Club in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tim White of Rockview; two brothers, Edward and Eugene White of Chaffee; seven sisters, Mary Dennis, Maude Taylor and Margery Jobe of Chaffee, Carol Morris and Martha Standridge of Sikeston, Camila Crumbaugh of Springfield, Ill., and Janet Jaco of Delta.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
