JACKSON -- Warren Wilson, 73, of Jackson, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at his home.
He was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Milan, Kan., son of Jesse and Ethel Bunker Wilson. He and Helen Preston were married May 11, 1947.
Wilson moved to Jackson in 1967 from Kansas. He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Wichita, Kan., and Jackson 30 years. He was general manager of the Jackson plant until 1979.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion and VFW Post in Jackson. He was a charter member of the Lions Club in Jackson, former member of Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri and National Soft Drink Association. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Engelmann of Cape Girardeau, Cheryl Crites of Oak Ridge, Barbara Hofstetter of Hartsburg; a brother, Herman Wilson of Wichita; two grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. An American Legion honor guard service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
