Warren Leo Rauh, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
He was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Risco, Mo., to Charles Henry and Mattie Portis Rauh. He and Barbara Holderman were married Aug. 4, 1951, in Piggott, Ark. She died April 23, 2010. They both enjoyed fishing.
Rauh was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Rauh had worked at Paramount Liquor 10 years and was with the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department 15 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Peggy) Rauh of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Crystal Rauh of Glenallen, Mo., and Jason Rauh of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
