JACKSON -- Warren Welton Pinkley, 78, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996, at his home.
He was born June 12, 1918, at Ste. Genevieve, son of James F. and Mabel J. Herzok Pinkley. He and Ina E. Bush were married Jan. 25, 1954, in Mississippi.
Pinkley worked at Monsanto Corp. 34 years, retiring as payroll clerk. He was a member of Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church, American Legion Post 300 in St. Louis, and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He had lived in Jackson 17 years.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Perry Pinkley of Imperial; and a sister, Dorothy Eisenbies of Bloomsdale.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, with a service by VFW members.
