Warren H. Dalton, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 20, 1926 in Cape Girardeau to Henry M. and Belle DeGrant Dalton.
He and Clorene Ladd were married May 3, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. She died Jan. 2, 1984. He later married Lelia Frances Conner May 24, 1986, in Cape Girardeau. She died June 28, 1991.
He was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
Mr. Dalton worked for Spartech Plastics and for Cape Wilbert Vault Co., retiring in 1990.
He was a member of VFW Post 3838 and Eagles Aerie No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by a son, Don H. (Kay) Dalton of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Carolyn E. (Larry) Sikes of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Travis and Troy Sikes, Racheal Farris and Chad H. Dalton; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and three sons, Charles, Russell and David Dalton.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kirby Grindstaff officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors by the Missouri Team.
