DEXTER -- Ward G. Wilfong, 83, of Dexter died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 1, 1916, at Leora, son of Vader and Hazel Raney Wilfong.
He married Norma L. Looney at Clayton May 26, 1941. She died Aug. 30, 1996.
He was a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda J. Meador of St. Louis; two brothers, Ray Wilfong of Florence, Ala., and Rex Wilfong, of Denver, Colo; three sisters, Gertrude Meyrose and Mildred Whitledge, both of St. Louis, Murtle Tucker of Dexter; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Rainey Funeral Chapel with Brother Ray Placher officiating.
Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
