WARD DILLOW

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral for Ward Dillow of Jonesboro will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Bryan McAlister and Joe A. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Dongola, Ill., with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time.

Dillow, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at his home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Jonesboro, son of Fred and Clara Cruse Dillow. He and Virgie Cox were married July 29, 1939.

Dillow was a member of Anna Church of Christ. He was a glider pilot during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kristie McAlister of Jonesboro; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
