ORAN -- Wanda Estalee Johns, 61, of Oran, died Friday, March 8, 1996, as the result of an accident there.
She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Watts, Ark., daughter of the late Blain and Junia Otta Barnes Rains.
She married Earl Johns on Dec. 27, 1952.
Barnes was a retired sewing machine operator for the Oran Hat Factory and also worked as an Avon salesperson.
She is a former member of the Oran Park Board.
She is survived by her husband; two sons: Richard Johns of Oran and Billie Johns of High Ridge; two brothers: Dwain Rains of Chaffee and Samuel Rains of Sikeston; two sisters: Vena Nelson of Yuba City, Calif., and Tula Eskew of Winona, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and one brother.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett with the Rev. Gary D. Teague officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
