SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wanda M. Hargrove, 67, of Sikeston died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 18, 1933, at Morehouse, Mo., daughter of Homer and Lue Vanover Grimes. She and Freddy Hargrove were married May 12, 1967, at Benton.
She was a licensed practical nurse for Sikeston Head Start. She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard Buckthorpe of New Madrid, Mo.; two daughters, Letha Buckthorpe of Sikeston and Amy Breed of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a brother, Jim Grimes of Berger, Mo.; five sisters, Virginia Nelson of Sikeston, Barbara Stinnett of Sikeston, Judy Mackey of Fayetteville, Ark., Mary Lou Welter of Sikeston and Debbie Martin of Mountain Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and three brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
