SCOTT CITY -- Wanda Genese Bles, 75, of Scott City died Friday, March 19, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, at Fornfelt, daughter of Otto and Ella Young Summers. She married Raymond Bles on Oct. 22, 1942, in Kelso. He died March 2, 1977.
She had worked 25 years as a saleswoman at Stanley Home Products. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6407.
Survivors include a son, Joe Bles of Chaffee; a daughter, Joyce Rogers of Scott City; two brothers, Coy Summers of Azel, Texas, and Ray Summers of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Catherine Sativasci of Fort Worth, and Ladon Karraker and Lois Ruder, both of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. A VFW ladies auxiliary service will be held at 7, immediatedly followed by a family prayer service led by her grandson Chad Bles.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Patrick Wissman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
