Wanda L. Duty, 79, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Friday, May 12, 1933, in Oneida, Tenn., to the late Everett and Hessie Juanita Waters Daugherty.
She and William Duty were married Friday, May 3, 1957, in Commerce, Texas. Duty was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Nancy Hunter Chapter in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Duty; a son, Charles (Sharon) Duty of Union, Ky; a brother, Ranny Daugherty of Oneida; sisters, Annette Moore of Oneida and Alene Husley of Irvin, Texas; grandchildren Samantha and William Duty; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice.
