CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Wanda Anita Daugherty, daughter of the late Noal and Izada Holman Cowell, was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Lamar, Arkansas, and departed her life Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91 years.
On Aug. 11, 1951, she married W.M. "Billy Mac" Daugherty Sr. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Bob (Laura Ruth) Daugherty of Frohna, Missouri, and Dan (Susan) Daugherty of Jackson; daughter, Susan (Michael) Schwartz of Chaffee; three sisters, Loretta, Linda and Sandra; two brothers, Anthony and Dean; eight grandchildren: 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two precious puppies, Teddy and Zada.
Apart from her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one son, William M. "Billy" Daugherty Jr.; three brothers, Charles, Eldon and Glen; and one sister who passed at birth.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the funeral home, with J.T. Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
