ADVANCE, Mo. -- Wanda Mae Cureton, 68, of Advance passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at her home. She was born Aug. 27, 1947, at Clarkton, Missouri, the daughter of Odda and Lillie Strickland Hamm. Wanda and Charley Cureton were united in marriage June 22, 1968, at Holcomb, Missouri, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2003...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Wanda Mae Cureton, 68, of Advance passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at her home.

She was born Aug. 27, 1947, at Clarkton, Missouri, the daughter of Odda and Lillie Strickland Hamm. Wanda and Charley Cureton were united in marriage June 22, 1968, at Holcomb, Missouri, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2003.

Wanda had worked at Sam's Restaurant in Advance for several years.

Survivors include a son, Charley (Danielle) Cureton of Bell City, Missouri; a daughter, Regina Limbaugh of Wichita Falls, Texas; three brothers, Jimmy Hamm of Florissant, Missouri, James (Brenda) Hamm of Campbell, Missouri, and Jerry (Sylvia) Hamm of Hayti, Missouri; three sisters, Sharon (Lee) Koebel of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Patsy Pumphrey of Niles, Michigan, and Mary (Mark) McMillen of Baroda, Michigan; and seven grandchildren, Tracy, Brittney, Emily, Dennis, Brooke, James and Jedidiah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Danny Cureton; and a brother, John Hamm.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, with the Rev. Don Jolliff officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.
