JONESBORO, Ill. -- Wanda Brown, 80, of Granite City, Ill., formerly of Jonesboro, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. Louis.
She was born Feb. 4, 1924, at Eldorado, Ill., daughter of Elmer and Catherine Stevens. She and Otis Brown were married in 1975 at Anna, Ill. He died May 14, 1996.
Brown was retired from the Clyde Choate Mental Health Center after working 28 years as an licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church at Granite City and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Sue Lemaster of Granite City and Peggy Jean Williams of Crystal Lake, Ill.; one son, Steven Vaughn of Elgin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Clark officiating. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, Ill.
