SAINT CHARLES, Mo. -- Wanda M. Boswell, 84, of Saint Charles died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Saint Joseph Health Center.
She was born March 5, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to Murrie and Mildred Crump Engram.
She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1951 and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
She and Richard Boswell of Cape Girardeau were married Dec. 27, 1953, at Centenary United Methodist Church. She traveled as a military wife for 20 years to Japan and throughout the United States.
After the Boswells retired from the military, they moved to Paducah, Kentucky, and opened a Pasquales restaurant. Later, they moved back to Cape Girardeau where they owned a Pasquales restaurant. In the 1990s they moved to St. Louis to be near their children.
Wanda was a member of the First Saint Charles United Methodist Church.
She spent her retired years shopping at her favorite shops, eating at her favorite restaurants and doting on her grandchildren and beloved husband.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Boswell of Saint Charles; a daughter, Sherri (Tom) Fouch of Saint Charles; a son, David Boswell of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey and Keegan Fouch and Lindy, Zach and Matthew Boswell.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
