Wanda Berkbigler

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Wanda R. Berkbigler, 85, of Perryville died Monday, May 13, 2019, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born Aug, 30, 1933, in Perry County to Edgar and Clorcie Wingerter Brewer. She and Bennett J. Berkbigler were married Nov. 5, 1960. He preceded her in death April 13, 2013.

Wanda was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sherry (Jim) Schillaci of Washington Township, New Jersey, and Richelle (Scott) Jokerst of Dayton, Ohio; son, Kevin (Shannon Shryock) Berkbigler of Washington, Missouri; son-in-law, Charlie Pavlovsky of Houston; and nine grandchildren, Christina Schillaci, Nick Schillaci, Matt Schillaci, C.J. Pavlovsky, Andrew Pavlovsky, Caleb Berkbigler, Todd Jokerst, Nathan Jokerst and Rebecca Jokerst. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Bennett J. Berkbigler; mother, Clorcie Brewer; father, Edgar Brewer; one daughter, Karla Pavlovsky; one sister, Dolores Buchheit; and four brothers, Wilbert Brewer, Melvin Brewer, Earl Brewer and Gary Brewer.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer officiating. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
