MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Walter W. Woods, 78, of Coffeen, formerly of Mound City, died Tuesday, June 4, 1991, at Hillsboro Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born Aug. 5, 1912, at Bellville, son of Harvey and Bell Woods. He married the former Violet Buckles.
Woods was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patsy Dover of Waterloo; three sons, Jerry Woods of Alton, Larry Woods of Coffeen, Michael Woods of Jackson, Mo.; a brother, George Woods of Rockport; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Mound City. The Rev. Clarence Glenn will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
