PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Walter W. Hotop, 91, of Perryville died Friday, April 2, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 5, 1912, at Biehle, Mo., son of William J. and Emma Balsman Hotop.
He and Trudie H. Hoffman were married Aug. 5, 1935.
Hotop was a a retired boiler maker for American Standard, who also farmed livestock and agriculture. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Alice Ryan of Burbank, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, an infant son, a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel and on Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.
A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and a rosary at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
