Walter Funk, 82, of Cape Girardeau died at his home Friday, Oct. 13, 1995.
He was born Oct. 9, 1913 in Longtown, son of Adolph and Clara Hacker Funk.
He married Elsie Doughty July 18, 1936, in Cape Girardeau. She survives.
He was a charter member and past treasurer at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He served in the Army during World War II and was in the National Guard, where he was a field auditor and served as an officer in Jefferson City 10 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and was a life member of the Missouri National Guard Association.
Survivors include a brother, Ernest Funk of Longtown, and a sister, Mrs. Ruben Popp of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
Private service will be held, with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
