PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Walter W. Behrle, 87, of Perryville died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Millheim, Mo., son of Lewis and Francis Hennemann Behrle. He and Hilda Buff were married Oct. 18. 1941. She died Nov. 21, 1994.
Behrle retired from International Shoe Co. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Francis of Bridgeport, W.Va.; two sons, Michael Behrle of Festus, Mo., Dale Behrle of Perryville; a brother, Earl Behrle of Bridgeton, Mo.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
