Wade Thompson

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Wade R. Thompson, 71, of Advance passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri.

He was born Oct. 29, 1943, at Bell City, Missouri, son of Homer and Lillian Overby Thompson. He and Carol Stewart were married March 18, 1961, at Bloomfield.

Wade was a truck driver many years. He had worked for Wayne Millington Trucking and Asa Asphalt.

Survivors include his wife; mother, Lillian Thompson of Advance; a son, Troy Thompson of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Paula Wade, Tina Bailey and Christy Metcalf, all of Advance; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Sonny Thompson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Cathcart officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
