Wade A. Myers, 20, of Cape Girardeau was fatally injured Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in a car accident in Scott County. He and his cousin, Cody Myers, were on their way home from the rodeo. Wade A. Myers, 20, of Cape Girardeau was fatally injured Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in a car accident in Scott County. He and his cousin, Cody Myers, were on their way home from the rodeo.

He was born Jan. 12, 1993, at Cape Girardeau, to Becky Myers. He attended St. Mary Cathedral School in Cape Girardeau, and was a 2010 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. He then took welding courses at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

Wade was employed at Rose Concrete Products in Scott City. He liked sports and was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Loving survivors include his parents, Becky and Mark Schwartz of Cape Girardeau; three half-brothers, Joey, Johnny and Josh Price of Oak Ridge; maternal grandparents, Linda (Bill) Ross of Fenton, Mo.; Jimmie (Rose) Myers of Chaffee; paternal grandfather, Mike (the late Ruth) Schwartz of Cape Girardeau; maternal aunt Angie (the late Roger) Griffith and her children, Jessica and Brittany of Cape Girardeau and the late Cody Myers; maternal uncle Stephen Myers and his children, Taylor and Nathan of Marquand, Mo.; paternal uncle Matt (Tonya) Schwartz and their children, Justin and Dylan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Tom Kiefer will lead parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating.

Interment will follow in Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
