COMMERCE -- W.A. "Bill" Hamm, 75, Commerce Route 1, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1992, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1917, at Gravelton, son of William Lincoln and Emma Dorris Hamm. He and Dorothy Walter were married Oct. 27, 1941, at Jackson.
Hamm was a scalesman and clerk 44 years at Southeast Missouri Stone in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, William Hamm of Delta, Jack, Glen, Mark and Bruce Hamm of Commerce, Roger Hamm of Chaffee; a sister, Aleen Leible of Scott City; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters and a grandson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Bob Varnon will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today, 1-9 p.m. Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to service time Friday.
