CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Vrada Belle Standley, 85, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1911, in Katy, Texas, daughter of Fred and Ethel Gilpin Lohmann. She married Elmer F. Standley on June 6, 1936, in St. Louis. He survives.
She was the executive secretary for Rexall Drugs in St. Louis and a volunteer with Teen Challenge.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Fisher of Grand Junction, Colo., and Betty Briner of Florissant; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Dean Heady of First Assembly of God, the Rev. Gary Petty and the Rev. Herbert Bruhn officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
