BELL CITY, Mo. -- Vivian M. Vanscoy, 81, of Bell City passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at her son's home in Rolla, Missouri. She was born in Painton, Missouri, Sept. 8, 1939, to the late James Evans and Georgia Flowers Long. On Dec. 6, 1958, she married Marion Lee Vanscoy, and they were later blessed with three children...

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Vivian M. Vanscoy, 81, of Bell City passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at her son's home in Rolla, Missouri.

She was born in Painton, Missouri, Sept. 8, 1939, to the late James Evans and Georgia Flowers Long. On Dec. 6, 1958, she married Marion Lee Vanscoy, and they were later blessed with three children.

Marion was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2001. Vivian was proud to serve as a faithful military spouse.

She later found love and companionship again with Harold H. Hart, and they enjoyed 17 years together. Harold passed away Nov. 22, 2020.

Vivian's priority in life was always her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and companion.

In addition to her parents, husband and Harold, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her children, Tod Evans (Doree) Vanscoy of Rolla; William Scott (Kristine) Vanscoy of Highlandville, Missouri; and Ellen Leann Vanscoy of St. Louis; sister, Linda Stephens of Clinton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth (Jeff) Brown, Brittany Morgan Vanscoy, Ty Evans Vanscoy and Bryson Joseph Vanscoy; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside service for Vivian Vanscoy will be at 10:15 a.m. today at Jefferson Barracks National Veterans Cemetery in St. Louis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vivian's memory are suggested to the A-Frame Church in Bell City, in care of Null and Son Funeral Home.
