DEXTER -- Vivian May Rogers, 82, a resident of Crossroads Court in Dexter, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1992 at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born at Clines Island on June 7, 1910, the daughter of James and Martha Eaton Swan.
She first married Raymond DeJournett, who preceded her in death in 1937.
On April 23, 1940, she married Henry Rogers. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1981.
She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the General Baptist faith.
Surviving are eight daughters, Ettie Mayo, Bertha Johnson, Freda Lilly, all of Bloomfield, Ella Colwell, Imperial, Doris Zellich, Davidson, Mich., Louise Cox of the state of Florida, Lucille Gross, House Springs, Betty Faulkner, Marble Hill; five sons, Larry Rogers, Dexter, Floyd Rogers, Bloomfield, Henry Rogers Jr., Centralia, Ill., Raymond DeJournett, Morehouse, J.D. DeJournett, Davidson, Mich.; one sister, Lela Fybie of Brooksville, Fla.; 37 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield today at 4 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Cooper of Wappappello officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
