Vivian Burton

Vivian I. Watson Burton, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 26, 1928, in Carrsville, Ky., daughter of Daniel Ivan and Allie Belle Moore Watson. She and Kenneth L. Burton were married June 24, 1974. He died Aug. 10, 1994.

Mrs. Burton was a licensed practical nurse, and a member of Christ Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Dennis of Kingston, Ill., David Dennis of Jackson; a daughter, Donna McCarty of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Iris Misner of Benton, Ky., Ann Cogdill of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dennis, Jan. 7, 2001.

A private burial service was held Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Robert Towner officiating.
