CHARLESTON -- Virley Agee, 75, of Franklinton, N.C., died Monday, March 2, 1998, at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
She had formerly lived in Sikeston and Charleston.
She was born Nov. 30, 1922, at Haley, Ark., daughter of Mamie and Grover Jennings.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include eight sons, Ernest Agee of El Reno, Okla., Richard Agee of Asbury Park, N.J., Jerry Agee of Elyria, Ohio, Michael and Henderson Fulton, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carl Fulton of Carson City, Mich., Fred Agee of Cairo, Ill., and Frank Agee of Franklinton, N.C.; five daughters, Carolyn and Jeanette Agee, both of Franklinton, Margie Washington of Raleigh, N.C., Rose Marshall of Benton Harbor, Mich. and Alice Walton of Chicago; a brother, Odell Jennings of New York, N.Y.; two sisters, Martha Gibson of Benton Harbor and Odessa Jennings Johnson of Charleston; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiation. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
