MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Virginia Biggs Wathen, 75, of St. Louis died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Integrated Health Services of St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Mound City, daughter of Roy and Pearl Holman Rothman. She married Dalton Biggs, who died in 1953.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue Strieby of Webster Groves, Mo., Charlotte Moody of Fenton, Mo., Delores Carrington Honey of Tamms; a son, Joey Wathen of Festus, Mo.; a sister, Helen Hood of Grand Tower, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, Ill. The Rev. Buddy Walls will officiate.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City is in charge of arrangements.
