Virginia Thomason
MALDEN, Mo. -- Virginia Elizabeth Thomason, 89, of Malden died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 22, 1919, in Harrell, Ark., daughter of Irvin Napoleon and Irene Abernathy Williams. She and Nolan Travis Thomason were married Oct. 30, 1936, in Tinsman, Ark. He died Feb. 13, 1984.
Thomason was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, James and Royce Thomason of Malden, Ronald Thomason of Bernie, Mo.; two daughters, Alice Smith of Cape Girardeau, Margaret Bess of Puxico, Mo.; a brother, LaVerne Williams of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Imogene Russell of Creve Coeur, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Jeff Krupinski officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
