SCOTT CITY -- Virginia Springer, 75, of Scott City, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 17, 1919, at Malden, daughter of John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Trylor Bolton. She and Fred Springer were married Dec. 10, 1939. He died Sept. 11, 1952.
Springer had been a cook with Upper Mississippi Towing Co. and Cargill Towing Co., retiring in 1984. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Ruth Hale of Scott City.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joel Sarrault officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
