Funeral service for A. Virginia Shrum, 3114 Aspen, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Shrum, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1920, in Bollinger County, daughter of Everett and Clara Williams Ridings. She and Milton Shrum were married Jan. 10, 1942, at Marquand.
Shrum moved to Cape Girardeau in 1945 from Bollinger County. She was a member of Maple United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth Shrum of Nashville, Tenn., Don Shrum of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Ardell Ridings of Patton, Hinkle Ridings of Jackson; a sister, Mercelete Gaither of Fenton; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
