VIRGINIA SEVERS

ULLIN, Ill. -- Funeral for Virginia C. Severs of Ullin will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill. The Rev. Richard Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Ullin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Severs, 80, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Perks, Ill., daughter of Albert and Stella Watson Mowery. She married Wayne Severs, who died in 1985.

Severs was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Senior Citizens of Ullin.

Survivors include a sister, Viola Smith of Scott City, Mo.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
