McCLURE, Ill. -- Virginia Lee Rudluff, 69, of McClure died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 7, 1943, in Cairo, Ill., to Sidney Gerald and Ruby B. Farris Miller Sr. She and Roger Leon Rudluff were married April 30, 1965, in McClure.

Virginia graduated from Alexander County Central High School in Tamms, Ill., and from Cape Business College in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Alexander Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Ill., and an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Leon Rudluff of McClure; a daughter, Tonia Sissom of Fruitland; a son, Roger Lee Rudluff of McClure; her mother, Ruby B. Miller of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Sidney Gerald (Dixie) Miller Jr. of Anna, Ill.; three grandchildren, Michele Sissom, Hunter Sissom and Brady Rudluff; and a great-grandchild, Adallyn Prater.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Judith Ann Gibbar.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Alexander Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Branch.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Ernest Brown and the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
