ULLIN, Ill. -- Virginia Frances Parker, 48, of Villa Ridge, Ill., died Friday, June 22, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 12, 1953, at Paducah, Ky., daughter of Herbert "Red" and Mildred Ellen Holder Jackson.
She and George A. Bankson III were married April 19, 1970. He died Nov. 30, 1973. She married Kim Parker March 14, 1980.
She had been a police officer for the village of Pulaski, Ill., since April. She had been a deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department for several years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ullin.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Angela Bankson of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Dewayne Jackson of Metropolis, Ill.; and three grandsons.
Friends may call today from 5-9 p.m. today and Monday until service time at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ralph Kaufman and Terry Kern officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
