Virginia Lee Morrison, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at her home.
She was born July 14, 1927, in Drum, Missouri, to the late George and Daisy Winters Huffman. She and Leston Morrison were married Sept. 18, 1946, in Drum. He preceded her in death June 7, 2012.
Virginia worked with her husband on the family farm for over 25 years. Her favorite pastimes were reading and doing yardwork.
Survivors include sons, Darrell (Ruth Anne) Morrison of Cape Girardeau and Rodger (Brenda) Morrison of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Pamela Goodson (fiance, Stephen Weller) of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Veronica and husband Matt of Jackson, Anthony and wife Dee of Springfield, Missouri, Dereck and wife Amanda of Jefferson City, Missouri, George and wife Erin of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and William and wife Gia of Huntsville; eight great-grandchildren, Kolton, Madison, Michael, Nicholas, Marcus, Evan, Aubrey and Isla; great-great-grandchild, Jeremiah; nephews, Louis Jr. and Gary; and feline companions, Hazel and Myrtle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Chad Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Safe House for Women.
