VIRGINIA M. SUTTON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Virginia Mae Sutton of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Thomas Griffin and Ed Jolley will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Sutton, 52, died Wednesday, July 21, 1993, near here from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born April 30, 1941, in Oklahoma, daughter of Owen and Rhoda Marshall Hedrick. She and Richard Sutton were married Dec. 15, 1958, in Union City, Tenn.

Sutton was owner/operator of The Petal Shoppe here. She was a member of Dorena Baptist Church, past president and current board member of East Prairie Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Randy Sutton of East Prairie; two brothers, Butch Hedrick of Brawley, Calif., Bobby Hedrick of Russellville, Ark.; a sister, Marita Benzen of Ava, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Hedrick.
