SIKESTON -- Virginia Hunott, 77, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Chaffee, daughter of Henry and Stella Drinkard Campbell Clay. She and Phillip H. "Buck" Hunott were married on Aug. 20, 1942. He died July 28, 1982...

SIKESTON -- Virginia Hunott, 77, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Chaffee, daughter of Henry and Stella Drinkard Campbell Clay. She and Phillip H. "Buck" Hunott were married on Aug. 20, 1942. He died July 28, 1982.

Hunott was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Graham of Matthews, a son, Phillip A. Hunott of Texas, and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a daughter.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dolan Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
