Virginia Holly Hoblit, 87, of Lancaster, Calif., formerly of Illmo, died Dec. 12, 1994 in Lancaster.
She was born Dec. 7, 1907, daughter of Jeremiah and Helen Holly.
She moved to Phoenix, Ariz. following the death of her husband, Col. Noel Hoblit, in an aircraft accident in Alaska.
She lived in Phoenix for 32 years. She taught sixth grade at the Papago School for 18 years.
She was also a member of the PEO and the First Congregational Church.
She is survived by two sons, Col. Jerry N. Hoblit, Van Nuys, Calif., Lt. Col. Fred Hoblit, Arlington, Va.; and five grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of the University of Utah and attended Southeast Missouri College.
A memorial service was held in the Lancaster Presbyterian Church Dec. 17.
She will be buried at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in a private ceremony. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
