VIRGINIA HEAD

SILVER LAKE -- Virginia Eleanor Head, 62, of Portage Des Sioux died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996.

She was born Feb. 9, 1934, at Silver Lake, daughter of Edgar and Eleanor Proctor Geile.

Head retired as a proofreader with Computer Central. She was a member of St. Charles Science Fiction Club.

Survivors include four daughters, Kathleen Burkhart, Darla Atchison and Vicki Michael of St. Charles, Diane Michael of Portage Des Sioux; two sons, David Head of St. Peters, Russell Head of Topeka, Kan.; her father and stepmother, Edgar and Juanita Geile of Perryville; a brother, Charles Geile of Perryville; a sister, Shirley Mantovoni of St. Charles; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a daughter.

Friends may call at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
