WYATT, Mo. -- Virginia Marie Williams Gaines, 77, of Wyatt died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 6, 1923, at Hayti, Mo., daughter of Robert "Bob" and Ora Lou Richardson Dotson. She and Eli Gilford Williams were married Jan. 9, 1957. He died July 10, 1985...

WYATT, Mo. -- Virginia Marie Williams Gaines, 77, of Wyatt died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 6, 1923, at Hayti, Mo., daughter of Robert "Bob" and Ora Lou Richardson Dotson. She and Eli Gilford Williams were married Jan. 9, 1957. He died July 10, 1985.

Gaines lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include a stepson, James G. "Sonny" Williams of Benton, Mo.; and a brother, J.C. Dotson of Hendersonville, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
