WEBSTER GROVES -- Virginia E. Sperling, 83, of Webster Groves and formerly of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 11, 1992, at Mari de Ville Retirement Home in Town and Country.
She was born Dec. 17, 1908, at Cape Girardeau, the daughter of John and Ermine Hazelwood Schuler. She was married to Elmer John Sperling, who survives of Webster Groves.
Other survivors include two daughters, Suzanne V. Wright of Linneus and Mary Kay Rose of Kansas City; a son, John R. Sperling of Washington, D.C.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Bopp Funeral Chapel in Kirkwood. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Webster Hills United Methodist Church in Webster Groves. The Rev. Murrell Cunningham will officiate, and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Gordonville Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville.
