CAIRO, Ill. -- Virginia L. Allbritten, 80, of Cairo died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Daystar Care Center.
She was born April 14, 1924, in Anna, Ill., daughter of Green and Lucille Johnston Sneed. She married Tommy Simmons, who preceded her in death, and later married Leon Allbritten, who also preceded her in death.
Allbritten was formerly owner of Mark Twain Restaurant and Mack's Bar-Be-Que. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Junior Women's Club, Cairo Business and Professional Women's Club and Cairo Woman's Club.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Simmons of Villa Ridge, Ill.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
