Virgil Odell Moore, 78, of 329 N. Main in Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 19, 1913, at Daisy, the son of William H. and Effie Friese Moore. On July 3, 1953, he marred Irene Meyer in Cape Girardeau. She survives of the home.
He was a resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau since June 26, 1991. He formerly worked for the Jackson Cleaning Company in Jackson and Patricks Cleaners in Cape Girardeau.
He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army. He also was a member of the Jackson American Legion Post and a member of the Baptist denomination.
Other survivors include a sister, Virginia Ervin of Cape Girardeau, and a half-brother, Ed Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, where funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mike Davis will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
