VIRGIL MILTENBERGER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Virgil Miltenberger, 87, of Dongola, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

He was born Nov. 22, 1905, in Gage County, Neb., son of Herman and Elizabeth Grennsman Miltenberger. He and Nellie Boyd were married June 6, 1931. She died Oct. 25, 1981.

Miltenberger was a retired teacher, and power use adviser with Southern Illinois Electric Co-Op. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Dongola.

Survivors include a son, Gerald Miltenberger of Dongola; two brothers, Oliver Miltenberger of Homeland, Calif., Edwin Miltenberger of Houston, Texas; a half sister, June Sullivan of Milford, N.Y., and a grandson.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. William Horn will officiate, with burial in American Legion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
