CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Virgil J. Kynion of Charleston will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. W.R. Harrell will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Kynion, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1996, at his home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1924, near Advance, son of Henry Reed and Pearl Ethel Lowe Kynion.
Kynion was retired from Annis Construction Co. in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a friend, Addie Adams of Charleston; four brothers, Lester Kynion of Granite City, Ill., Everett Kynion of Marine, Ill., Johnnie Kynion of Lancaster, Ohio, Charles Kynion of Scott City; two sisters, Clara Kidd of Jackson, and Alice Hopper of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
