VIRGIL H. HEAD

PERRYVILLE -- Virgil H. Head, 69, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 26, 1926, at Yount, son of Charles and Pearl Head. He married Iva Pittman July 3, 1948.

Head was a construction laborer. He was a member of Perryville VFW Post 4282 and served in the Navy.

Survivors are a son, James Virgil Head of Altenburg; three daughters, Beth Lukefahr, Karen Geile and Debbie Schaaf, all of Perryville; three brothers, Victor Head of Farmington, Leman Head of Yount and Dale Head of Perryville; five sisters, Glenda Stout of Florida, Ina Boesch of St. Louis, Lenora Potter of O'Fallon, Ada Winkler of Hillsboro and Pat Gentry of Omaha, Neb.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until noon Tuesday.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Whitewater Christian Church with the Rev. Dale Berck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
