MARBLE HILL -- Virgil E. Harris 81, of St. Louis, formerly of Lutesville died Friday, May 28, 1993 in St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis. He was born at Cascade, Mo. on March 23, 1912, the son of James F. and Ida Stroup Harris. He married the former Ruby Miller. She preceded him in death March 21, 1992...

MARBLE HILL -- Virgil E. Harris 81, of St. Louis, formerly of Lutesville died Friday, May 28, 1993 in St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born at Cascade, Mo. on March 23, 1912, the son of James F. and Ida Stroup Harris.

He married the former Ruby Miller. She preceded him in death March 21, 1992.

He is survived by one son, Don Harris, St. Louis; one daughter, Marci Soto, St. Louis; and one sister, Oretha Keathley, Marquand.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

He owned a trucking business in the Lutesville and was retired. He had moved to St. Louis in 1965.

Friends may call Sunday after 1 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating.
