Virgie S. Hendershott, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Whitewater, to William S. and Nancy E. Hedge Kinnison. She and Lendle Hendershott were married Feb. 7, 1956, in Seattle, Wash.
Virgie was a longtime member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Debbie) Hendershott of Barnhart, Mo.; two daughters, Kathy (Harold) Ringwald of Jackson and Jean Blumenberg of Irving, Texas; two sisters, Juanita (McCoy) Pogue of Marble Hill, Mo., and Dorothy London of Morris, Ill.; four grandchildren, Tammy Keller of Jackson, Christy Cowling of Cape Girardeau, Ricky (Jennifer) Nanna of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Amanda Blumenberg of Waco, Texas; and six great-grandchildren, Alan and Austin Pinkerton, Destiny, Abby, John and Catelyn Cowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Dale and Eldridge Kinnison; and three sisters Norma Maledy, Alice Shell and Lorene Masters.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to time of service Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodger Rice officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
