NEW MADRID -- Virgie A. Ruddle, 76, of New Madrid, died Monday, July 29, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 12, 1914, at New Madrid, daughter of James Dawson and Lula Ann Sanders Henry. She and Clyde F. Ruddle were married Oct. 12, 1932, at Portageville. He died July 7, 1989.
Ruddle was a leather worker and die cutter 25 years at Speilberg Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis.
Survivors include a son, Richard Ruddle of Barnhart; a daughter, Victoria Gross of St. Louis; three brothers, Welton Henry of Lilbourn, J.B. Henry of Grand Blanc, Mich., Allen Henry of Fenton; three sisters, Katie Roper of Tampa, Fla., Elizabeth Schaefer of Sikeston, Doris Carney of Springdale, Ark.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Amel Shibley will officiate, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
Nunnelee Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
